1:1 Tutoring Since 2014

2014-2017 - Tutoring subjects: High School Algebra II, Chinese, Chemistry, and math GREs.  Volunteered with elementary schoolers for math standardized test prep and middle schoolers for homework help.  Age range of students: 6-36.

2018-2019 - Tutored 1:1 at NDSU Disability/Veteran Services Center.  Subjects: Chemistry (General, Organic), Physics (Statics, Dynamics), Math (Algebra 2, Trig, Calc 1, Calc 2, Statistics), Business (Micro/Macroeconomics, Accounting), Music Theory, Critical Thinking, and Composition.

2020-2024 - Tutored students in-person and virtually (middle and high school math and standardized test math) while working as an Engineer (Manufacturing Engineering Internships at Marvin and Polaris, Product Management Engineer at Emerson, Sales Engineer at iSolar).

2025-2026 - All subjects on the test, focusing where each student needs help for the ACT/SAT/PSAT, plus High School math.  Career transition to Education, starting as a Tutoring Program Coordinator/In-House Sub/Algebra Teacher for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in 2025.  Beginning fall 2026, 10th grade math teacher at Community of Peace Academy, pursuing Masters in Teaching from St. Mary's University.

High School Standardized Tests:

The most common question I get asked is how well I did on these tests when I took them in High School.  Knowing how well I did on a test in High School doesn't matter nearly as much as how well I can prepare someone for their own test today, but I'll share anyway:

PSAT - National Merit Scholar - Full Ride (Tuition, Room, Board) at NDSU

ACT - 34 SAT - 1540 (800 Math)

If you can believe it, after studying for the ACT/SAT for over 10 years, I've gotten better and more consistent at these tests.

National AP Scholar (2017) - This distinction is now discontinued, but it was earned by scoring a 4 or higher on 8 or more AP tests:
AP Statistics, Calculus, Physics C, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, World History, Psychology, Music Theory

Education

North Dakota State University (2021): Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, with minors in Business Administration and Logistics Management

St. Mary's University (Set to graduate Summer of 2028), Masters of Teaching and 6-12 Math Teaching License
